Thanks!

I would have liked more information on what a good online learning site looks like and how to set one up. The course focussed mostly on vocabulary. How can you go beyond discrete point exercises for grammar online? This wasn't addressed. Sometimes I was looking for more indepth feedback. Overall, sometimes frustrating (info overload, technical problems), but interesting and addictive!! See you next course!!! |

That was kind of confusing. Using a different venue for each activity made it hard, but it also enriched our experience. I had not idea wikies had so many options and I think they are easy to use. ?! I hope! I was fascinated by the lessons that both Daf and Teresa make. Chapeau, mesdames!Thank you, thank you. I learned a lot from you and from my colleagues. There were a lot of good ideas and resources generously shared by everybody. |

I didn't realize how easy it is to use some of the sites. I really liked Quia. I don't know how to set up a wiki. Could you tell me how to do that. From now on I am going to try to use more online projects mixed with my face to face classes. Thank you so much for opening this door for me. |

There was more communication between the instructors and other students than in some of the other courses I have taken. The communication has been nice because I feel like I got good advice and exposure to things other instructors are doing. We explored a lot of useful and interesting sites and exercise builders. I think the online dictionaries like ultralingua are interesting and I'd like to do more with a wiki in the future now that I've actually used one. |

We'll have food for thought to keep us going for at least 10 years!. We've been very priviledged to have two exceptional tutors like Daf and Tere, always present, always ready to give support and thorough answers to problems, doubts and ideas. Not often found!!. It's been very good to have the whole syllabus from the beginning so that we could work around our busy schedules. It's also wonderful that our tutors have set up a "second" platform where we can go back to any time and I know only too well that this entails more work for them. My gratitude to a wonderful group of colleagues for sharing their experience, giving inspired support and helping build a fantastic learning community. See you in PP200 and later in online life. |

Just picture Angelina Jolie with a grammar book. | I thank you for your time and effort in putting together this class. It has been a most enjoyable experiece for me, and a very good learning experience. For me, only 1/2 of the class is the "subject matter". The other half of the class is seeing how YOU (Daf and Ter) use the wiki, the discussion, the chats, etc. to make the class work. I have learned just as much from that as I have about the subject of vocab/grammar. I am eternally grateful to my colleagues here who put up with me class after class, and my myriad of delays. It is always awe-inspiring to see the collaboration between teachers. I'll be in PP200 starting...gulp..tomorrow... Again, I so appreciate the amount of time and communication that D&T have put into this class. Other teachers only show up once a week, and D&T were/are always available. You are fantabulous (how's that for a vocab word!!) Yours, Linnea linneahannigan@gmail.com |

They were also very generous by sharing their work with us. I think the second week project should be introduced in the first week (but due at the end of the second week). This would give group members more time to communicate with all the members in the group since not all members check in as often as others. The project works better when the websites are delegated out to each member and this is what has to be done ahead of time; otherwise, everyone is just duplicating everybody else's work. You may also want to suggest that each group designate a group leader. It's always easier to pull these kinds of projects together when one person is the "boss". Sometimes, one person automatically takes on the role of the leader, but sometimes that doesn't happen. |
| Name | Photo | Your comments | | Jim Barrie | | I regret not being able to make the chat sessions. I was involved in too many actvities this fall. In fact, I became overwhelmed and postponed my enrollment in the final TESOL course until next June. At any rate, I've noticed the expertise and committment our instructors have, so hats off to Daf and Teresa for thier efforts here. And to all my fellow classmates too...great work. I will be solidifying my knowledge of what I have acquired in PP 100, 104, 107, and 109, practicing and applying skills to my web site, learning Dreamwweaver, and knowing more about the "codes" in the wiki pages. Regards to all...Jim |
| Name | Photo | Your comments | | Mary S. Smith | | I found the expertise of Terese and Daf to be very consoling - and, at times unbelievable. Whatever the problem or experience, they seem to have already mastered it or know someone who has. Their willingness to work through issues with students makes an online teaching environment seem doable. The collaboration of ideas among the participants was especially helpful in increasing my own knowledge base. On occasion, the difficulty of coordinating schedules to complete a collaborative task did create some roadblocks to success (e.g., recommendation of sites in Wk 2). I'm sure students face the same in all class settings. Perhaps a class of more than four weeks would have provided greater opportunities for collaboration. But the "divide and conquer" measure certainly allowed us to have an end product that will serve as a great resource in the future. Thanks Daf and Terese for facilitating our movement to the next level of expertise - however slight it might currently be. : ) |
